Baroness Stern
Baroness Stern has been an independent member of the House of Lords since 1999. From 2004 to 2008 she was a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights. She now co-chairs the Parliamentary Group on the Abolition of the Death Penalty and the Parliamentary Group on Tajikistan. She is a vice-chair of the Parliamentary Group on Women, Peace and Security.
Mark Pritchard MP
Mark Pritchard MP is a specialist in foreign policy, defence and security issues who has been a Member of Parliament since 2005. He is Leader of the UK delegation to the OSCE and the OSCE's Special Representative to South East Europe. Mark is a founding Member of the Conservative Party Human Rights Commission and a former member of the UK Parliament’s Joint Human Rights Committee. He chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Estonia and is Vice Chairman of the Parliamentary Groups on Germany, Hong Kong, Georgia and Ukraine. Mark sits on the International Council of Parliamentarians for Global Action.
Alistair Carmichael MP
Alistair Carmichael has been Liberal-Democrat MP for Orkney and Shetland since 2001 and is currently Liberal-Democrat spokesperson on Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and Exiting the European Union.He is also Liberal Democrat Chief Whip and has formerly been a member of the International Development Committee.
Baroness Anelay
Baroness Anelay has been a member of the House of Lords since 1996. She was formerly Minister of State of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and a Government Chief Whip in the House of Lords. She also chairs the International Relations and Defence Committee.
Baroness Hooper
Baroness Hooper joined the Lords in 1985. She was formerly Deputy Speaker and Deputy Chair of Committees in the House of Lords.
Baroness Whitaker
Baroness Whitaker has been a member of the House of Lords since 1999. She is currently a member of the Sentencing (Pre-consolidation Amendments) Bill [HL] Special Public Bill Committee. She has formerly been a member of a number of committees including the Human Rights (Joint Committee) and the Intergovernmental Organisations Committee.
Lord Dholakia
Lord Dholakia joined the Lords in October 1987. He is Co-Deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats (Peers). He is a member of the Sub-Committee on Lords' conduct.
Lord Dubs
Lord Dubs joined the Lords in September 1994. He is a member of the Human Rights (Joint Committee) and was formerly a member of the EU External Affairs Sub-Committee.
Lord Faulkner
Lord Faulkner joined the House of Lords in July 1999. He is a deputy speaker, and served as a minister in the government whips’ office 2009-10. He was the founder of the War Heritage APPG, and is its co-chair. He is the government’s trade envoy to Taiwan. Outside Parliament he is deputy chair of the Science Museum, and president of the Heritage Railway Association.
Sarah Champion MP
Sarah Champion is a Labour MP who has represented the constituency of Rotherham since 2012. She studied psychology at Sheffield University and has previously worked as the Director of a children’s hospice in Rotherham. In parliament she has previously been Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities and Shadow Minister at the Home Office. She currently chairs the International Development Committee.
